My Public Comment 2/12/26
Last night, I attended the Township meeting with the intention of communicating my concerns in a respectful and thoughtful manner.
I was interrupted several times by Supervisor Davis during my public comment. As a result, my concluding sentence went several seconds over my allotted 3 minutes. I was attempting to let the board members know that I am giving them my contact information for any questions or follow-up for the documents I submitted when Supervisor Davis directed Oakland County Sheriff Deputies to remove me. I immediately stopped speaking, I did not finish my statement, and no removal occurred.
[2/19/26 Edit: It was at 7 seconds past 3 minutes.]
I want to sincerely thank the many community members who offered support afterward. Your kindness and encouragement meant more than you know.
I also appreciate the professionalism shown by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies who were present. At no point did they approach me, or attempt to forcibly remove me.
I have attached a copy of my public statement which I read at the public meeting. A copy has been supplied to Township Clerk Sean Miller for the official record. In addition, I handed over of seven copies of 4 of the following documents:
- My concerns regarding the Scope of Work
- My concerns regarding the Aquifer Testing
- My ‘counter offer’ to the recent consult survey
- A plan for a survey based on community priorities, communication, and expectations
- My letter of resignation from the Fact-Finding Committee
Again, my sincere thanks for the community support, and for the professionalism of the Deputies.
