Bulldozer Delivery at Ormond Road

Bulldozer Delivery at Ormond Road

Today, as I was driving down Ormond Road admiring the scenic route, a flash of construction yellow caught my eye.

A bulldozer had been delivered to the Ormond Road property.

I stopped to confirm what I had seen and photographed the equipment from the roadway. Then I went on the hunt for more information on the Township website.

  • Superintendent Update page? Gone—that page has been deleted.
  • Supervisor Update page? Nope.
  • Levy Updates page? Nadda.

Eventually, I found a notice on the Township’s main homepage under ‘News & Announcements‘ titled “Work at Ormond Road Site.”

The page includes an email from Reuben Maxbauer of Levy, but it does not identify when the email was sent or when the bulldozer was actually delivered.

According to that email from Reuben Maxbauer of Levy, the bulldozer…

“…will be used to clear a path, enabling access for our well driller.”

The email also states that the bulldozer is expected to remain there for a relatively short period.

We know my earlier FOIAs of Oakland County that Levy applied for two test well permits.

Neither the well permits nor the email from Reuben indicate how long the bulldozer will remain onsite, how much clearing will occur, or where on the property the work will take place. We do know that there are several wetlands on the property proposed for removal. The south west corner of the property starting around the tree line is a protected area. So, where and what is Levy clearing?

This appears to be the next step in the onsite groundwater investigation tied to two test-well permits Oakland County issued in December 2025 for Levy’s contractor, Lyons Well Drilling.
