Sierra Club Michigan Chapter Official Letter (9/9/2025)
The Southeast Michigan Sierra Club has officially opposed the proposed Levy/Burroughs gravel mine on Ormond Road. They warn the mine would bring dust, noise, truck traffic, and risks to local wells, wetlands, and parks, including the Shiawassee Basin Preserve and Hartman Meadows. The project is seen as incompatible with nearby neighborhoods, schools, and public spaces.
